The wrong email program starts when I click a mail-related link in my browser (Juno 5.0)

To fix this problem, you will need to set the email program you want to use for mail-related links in Juno and in Microsoft Internet Explorer.

Set Juno as my default email program
Set a different email program as my default email program

If you want to use Juno as your default email program and it currently does not start when you click a mail-related link, follow this procedure.

To set Juno as your default email program:

1. Go to the Options menu, point to Email Preferences, and click Other Email Preferences.
2. In the Other Email Preferences window, select the Always use Juno for reading and writing email check box.
3. Click OK to close the screen.
4. Go to the Options menu and select Web Preferences.
5. On the Juno Web Preferences screen, under Web Browser Settings, click Internet Options.
6. In the Internet Properties window, click Programs.
7. On the Programs tab, click the Email arrow to select Juno.
8. Click OK to close the Internet Properties screen.
9. Click OK to close the Juno Web Preferences screen.
10. Close and restart Juno.

If Juno starts every time you click a mail-related link and you do not want it to, follow this procedure.

To set a different email program as your default:

1. Go to the Options menu, point to Email Preferences, then click Other Email Preferences.
2. On the Other Email Preferences screen, make sure the Always use Juno for reading and writing email check box is clear.
3. Click OK to close the screen.
4. Go to the Options menu and select Web Preferences.
5. In the Juno Web Preferences window, under Web Browser Settings, click Internet Options.
6. On the Internet Properties screen, click Programs.
7. On the Programs tab, click the Email arrow to select the email program you want to use.
8. Click OK to close the Internet Properties screen.
9. Click OK to close the Juno Web Preferences screen.
10. Close and restart Juno.
