B. Differences between Juno and other Internet Service Providers

Although every Internet Service Provider (ISP) offers its members Internet access, Juno uses a special dialing software to ensure quality connections.

Any Internet connection that uses a standard telephone line is considered a "Dial-up Connection." While there are several ways for people to connect to the Internet, Juno is focused mainly on providing members with Dial-Up connections.

In order to establish a Dial-Up Connection, one must first join an ISP such as Juno. Upon signing up for a Juno account, a member simply needs to remember three important things in order to connect and use the Internet:

MemberID - Your Juno online identity. It also acts as the first part of your email address. Example: memberid

Password - This protects your account. For your protection, this is always obscured (displayed as circles or * asterixes) when you enter it to log in. Example: passw0rd123

Email address - This is your virtual address on the Internet. It is based on your MemberID, followed by @juno.com. Example: memberid@juno.com

Although there are also different ways of establishing a dial-up connection to the Internet, Juno has made it easier by providing you with easy-to-follow steps in setting up and establishing your connection. Make sure to always use the Juno software to login by simply clicking the Connect button from the main Logon screen.

C. Using the Dialer

Juno's dialer software assists you in choosing local access numbers to connect to Juno. Whenever a number on your list is busy, the dialer software automatically dials the next one until you get online.

For in-depth information on how to configure the Juno dialer and set up your access numbers, click here to visit a page from our support site.

D. Email accounts

All Juno members get a single email account they can use to send and receive email.

If you would like to create a new Juno email account, or if you would like multiple email accounts for different members of your household, you will need to sign up for a new Juno Member ID.

You can sign up for more than one free email account, but if you use a free account to log into the Juno software, it will not have the benefits of Platinum or Juno Turbo. Only the primary account holder that signed up for Premium service will get these benefits.

If you would like another account in your household to have the benefits of Platinum or Juno Turbo, that account will need to sign up for Premium service separately.

Click here to sign up for a new free email account.

E. The Juno Help Center

We have an extensive Help Center available to all Juno members. The Help Center covers numerous topics, such as frequently asked questions, troubleshooting error messages, how to use email, as well as various walkthroughs and tutorials.

You can visit it at http://www.juno.com/support
