How do I check my Juno email if I am connected to the Internet using a different Internet Service Provider (ISP) or over a local area network (LAN)? (Juno 5.0)

If you use Juno 2.0 or later, you can check your Juno email while connected to the Internet using another ISP. Just change your Juno connection method to "over a network." Then, connect to your other ISP, start Juno, and click Get New Mail in the Read screen.

Just remember, that if you normally connect using a modem, you'll have to change the connection method back to using a modem when you use a Juno connection to check your email.

To change your connection method in Juno 5.0:

  1. Go to the Connection menu and select Connect Over a Network.

To change your connection method in Juno 3.0 and 4.0:

  1. Go to the Connection menu, point to Connect to Juno, then click Over a Network.

To change your connection method in Juno 2.0:

  1. Go to the Connection menu and select Mail Connection Setup.
  2. In the Mail Connection window, click Connect to Juno over this computer's existing Internet connection.
  3. Click Finish.
